At the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery section, regional and county healthcare is provided in oral surgery and orofacial medicine. The catchment area for regional care is the healthcare region of Central Sweden, which is one of six healthcare regions in Sweden and the second largest with 2.1 million inhabitants. The operations are conducted as inpatient and outpatient care as well as day surgery. Special profile areas include reconstructive, trauma, and jaw joint surgery. The section conducts specialist training in the field of oral surgery and orofacial medicine. To achieve this, we focus on the patient and work with a flexible approach, with engaged employees and intensive research and development work.

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery section is part of the Department of Head, Neck, and Plastic Surgery, Specialized Care Area. The department has about 240 employees.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three acute hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education. As an assistant dentist, you will work with dentoalveolar surgery, day surgery, and inpatient care activities. You are a licensed dentist. Experience in oral surgical activities is an advantage, as well as day surgery work. You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
